WASHINGTON (WJLA) – Florida Christian School says it is selling bulletproof panel inserts that can be placed inside children’s backpacks in protection against a school shooting.
The Miami private school’s website shows a list of forms parents can fill out regarding T-shirts, after-school activities, and now ballistic panel order forms.
The dean of students told CNN, “the bulletproof panels would add ‘another level of protection’ to students of the pre-K through grade 12 school in the event of an active shooter.”
People took to Twitter to share how they feel about the school’s new initiative to insert bulletproof panels into young children’s backpacks:
Even though the school has never had a shooting occur, it is offering these bulletproof panel inserts for $120 each.
