Union Wine Co. and clothing brand Wildfang have teamed together to create a wine to sell with the goal of raising $100,000 for Planned Parenthood.
The Oregon-made wine company says it’s giving all of the profits from their special edition wine, Underwood Get It Girl, to support Planned Parenthood in continuing STD testing, prenatal care, birth control, adoption referrals, HIV testing, and other important procedures Planned Parenthood provides to women.
“We had the idea for the wine shortly after the 2016 election. We wanted to make a clear statement in support of women’s rights and create some kind of positive impact. We also like to drink a lot of wine, so it felt like a match made in heaven,” Wildfang’s CEO Emma Mcllroy stated in a blog.
Union Wine Co. describes the canned wine to be a blended mix with brighter and more focused crispness of a Pinot Gris, with lime, melon, and jasmine.
You can get a four pack of the limited edition “Underwood Get It Girl” for $28 on the Union Wine Co. website.
